Movies and History

Saw “The Imitation Game” a couple of weeks ago.  As always, Benedict Cumberbatch was fabulous, and the movie  was enjoyable, but as far as historical accuracy goes, it left something to be desired.  The movie implies that only Alan Turing and his group were working on code-breaking, when in reality, more than 1000 people were breaking Nazi codes.   The screenplay also doesn’t do justice to Alan Turing’s character, nor to the complexity of his life.
